Tepee Sleepover Party Hire in Suffolk | Our Review
Sleepovers have certainly moved on since I was little. It’s gone from z beds and ‘top and tailing’ to kids today having all manner of options, including individual indoor tepees to hire for parties. If these had been around when I was younger, I would have absolutely loved having a set up like this for my birthday. So, after seeing so many beautiful pictures of these magical set ups from Suffolk tepee sleepover companies recently (mainly when scrolling through Instagram) I’ve been keen to throw one for my daughter – with her 8th birthday coming up and her request for a sleepover with friends, this seemed like the perfect way to make it feel super special.

In the past few years there seem to have been lots of tepee hire companies in Suffolk popping up. I’m often going past beautiful set up images rolling past on my social feed. We are in Sudbury, Suffolk and after a quick search, I found quite a few different companies in Suffolk that come out to our area.
With this is mind, I thought I would share a review of the company I used from Bury St Edmunds and what it was like, in case other Suffolk families are choosing who to use and looking for local reviews…
I booked the tepees for Rose’s birthday from Cozy Dreams in Bury St Edmunds. Not only do they hire out individual tepees for sleepovers but they have so many different imaginative themes to choose from. The one that caught my eye was the Animal Jungle theme – My daughter is really interested in Sun Bears at the moment and as we’d also sponsored her a sun Bear at Colchester Zoo as her birthday present, this seemed perfect for her party.
I got in touch with Lisa at Cozy Dreams via DM on Instagram and the booking process was super simple – she sent me an email with all the info and I paid a deposit online. The remainder was due a week before the party and again this was paid online.

Something that’s worth mentioning, is that although the booking process was straightforward, we unfortunately then managed to complicate matters with Rose catching Covid a week before her birthday! Lisa at Cozy dreams was really understanding when I contacted her and simply moved the date back a couple of weeks.
Once the new date arrived with all the isolations over, we were then hit with another hurdle, the incoming storm Eunice! We couldn’t believe we were having to potentially rearrange party plans again! Cozy Dreams again were great – the original plan was for her to come in the afternoon, but to avoid the storm she came early in the morning to ensure the party could still go ahead.
Tepee Sleepover Suffolk – Rose’s Party

So, onto the tepee set up itself. We had the sleepover in our front room moving aside a few bits, so all four could fit in a line. For the tepees, you need a space of 70cm by 150 cm for each tent. Once they arrived, they took care of everything. All we had to do was keep my daughter out of the room so once finished, it could be a surprise. Although I had seen some pictures of the jungle theme online, I honestly I couldn’t get over what a transformation there was.
Calling it a tepee sleepover just doesn’t do it justice. Alongside the beautifully decorated tents with leaf arches, lights and animals on top, there was a fake fire, fur rugs, jungle signs, a swing and so many jungle animals. The whole thing was personalised too, with each girl having a tray outside their tent with a name plaque, water bottle and lots of other lovely finishing touches. Needless to say, when we showed my daughter she absolutely loved it.

The party was great and as well as somewhere for all four girls to actually sleep, all the extra teddies and props gave them lots to play with too. When it came to bedtime, each tent had a mattress, cushion and fur blankets and they all slept well.
All in all, ordering a tepee sleepover from Cozy Dreams was definitely worth the wait – There’s lots more information about their tepee sleepover Suffolk services, different themes and the areas they cover, all over on the Cozy Dreams website.

If you’re looking for more party ideas for girls around Sudbury, Suffolk another one I’d highly recommend is a Pamper Party at Lipstick and Locks. My little girl had one for her 6th birthday and I’ve written all about it over on – A Birthday to Remember, a Girl’s Pamper Party Heaven
