The styles that aren’t going anywhere in 2026

This is a collaborative post

As we get further and further into 2026 (and closer and closer to summer), many of us are starting to revamp our wardrobes for the social seasons ahead.

Early on in this process, it’s worth taking a second to sit back and consider what styles are just blips on the fashion roundabout, and which ones are here to stay.

From classic t-shirts to denim, here are a few styles that aren’t going anywhere in 2026.

Classic tees

T-shirts may once have been symbols of counterculture, but those days are well and truly behind us.

T-shirts are one of the most enduring fashion staples around nowadays, and are suitable pretty much everywhere from smart-casual offices to gyms.

You can make a safe bet that if you’re wearing t-shirts in 2026, you’ll still be wearing them in 5 or 10 years. As a result, it makes sense to buy them in bulk from a supplier like Screen Textiles, to save a bit of time and money over the coming years.

Athleisure

Athletic-leisure fits, while subject to ongoing change as all styles are, don’t seem to be going anywhere either.

People enjoy feeling comfortable, and numerous brands have started making really clean, smart items that can be worn in diverse contexts.

Whether that’s a yoga fit that you wear to the cafe or more gorpcore-oriented fits, there are options for most occasions outside of smarter professional and social environments.

Leather jackets

It’s true that leather jackets do come in and out of the mainstream, but they remain a staple in a number of subcultures.

Finding the right leather jacket for you can be harder than finding something like a hoodie though.

It’s somehow more personal, and because leather doesn’t stretch like most other fabrics, it’s a lot harder and more important to get the fit just right.

Jeans

Jeans are another staple that’s gone from subculture to mainstream over the decades. As things stand, we really can’t see them going anywhere.

While trends like skinny jeans will likely go in and out of fashion, straight cuts are a lot more versatile, and will likely stand the test of time.

Suits

Suits are perhaps the epitome of stability in fashion over the past 100 years or so. Sure, there have been some divergences, with baggy, loose cuts making a bold entrance in the 80s and 90s, but there seems to be a standard that people come back to.

It’s worth getting your hands on a solid suit, for job interviews, weddings, funerals and other smart occasions, just so that you’re ready when the time comes. It can be surprisingly difficult to find the perfect suit, and it’s not something you necessarily want to rush.

It can be fun trying to get some items in your wardrobe that you can consistently rely on, and ultimately, these will constitute your own personal items that never go out of your definition of style. How much you want this to align with more general trends is ultimately up to you.
