Slime can be a lot of fun, but wow can it get messy! So, if you are looking for a mess free slime activity, these little bags are a great alternative where it all gets contained. My little girl loves all the different squishy toys you can get in the shops at the moment, but this time instead of spending more money on another one, I made a squishy bag at home.
I popped this one together while my youngest was at school and she had great fun that afternoon making tracks with the cars and little figure foot prints, while I got on with making dinner. It’s really simple to do, here’s how I made it:
- 4 cups of water
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of cornflour
- Ziplock bags
- Strong tape, food colouring and glitter
How To Make Slime Bags For Kids
- Add the water, sugar and flour to a large saucepan on a medium heat. Then all you need to do is keep whisking until it thickens and starts to go clear.
- Leave to cool, mix in some glitter, spoon into a bag and zip it up.
- Double tape the ends so none can escape and you are ready to give it a squish!
