The Perfect Self Care Gift for Mothers Day – Aery Living Review

As a mum juggling life, home, work and kids, it can often feel relentless. Whatever stage of your motherhood journey you are at: swaying a baby on your hip or negotiating screentime limits with a teenager – being a mum means always being on call. With the reality of that so often meaning, our own needs and self care taking a back seat. So with mothers day coming up on March 30th this year, why not bypass the bunch of flowers and ask for a gift that will encourage you to take some self care instead.

Aery Living recently got in touch with me to share their Mother’s Day Wellbeing Wonders range and this seems the perfect gift to request for yourself (or buy for the mother figure in your life) to encourage us to look after and pamper ourselves for a change. Along with the stylish aesthetic of the products that I thought would look lovely in my home, what really appealed to me, is their unique and contemporary take on scents, ones I never would have thought of but love the idea of.

Onto the products I chose from Aery Living and my review of how I found them…

Sleep is something I’m finding harder as I get older. In fact as a mum it does in all honesty feel a bit cruel that now I’ve got through all those years of sleepless nights with young children, I’m back to feeling sleep deprived again. In part, I find it difficult to switch off when going to bed. It can take me ages to quieten my busy mind these days and get to sleep. I’ll confess I don’t help myself. I’m often on my phone till late and do little to wind down. Then during the night I now often wake too, a couple of times. Not often for long, but enough to feel like I’ve had a disrupted night, when I wake.

So an obvious pick for me when choosing from the Mothers day wellbeing wonders was the Gift of Sleep set. It includes a pillow spray, candle and bath salts that when unboxing smelt amazing. Firstly the set was nice in encouraging me to introduce a routine to signal bedtime, including a soak in the bath and then time in bed reading my book after a few spritz of the pillow spray and my candle lit. The scents were very soothing and having a candle felt very indulgent with my bath and then while I read. I did feel calmer and more relaxed, with it not taking me as long to both switch off and then get to sleep.

The other product I was sent was a beautiful Aztec Tuberose Scented Candle – Peach Almond Milk and Tuberose. I can never resist anything peach in colour or scent so had to choose this. Now this scent was one of the nicest candles I’ve ever smelt. It was strong but not sweet and synthetic as fruit scented products can sometimes be and this fruity but also creamy, earthy smell filled the room as it flickered away in the most pretty ceramic pot.

Overall I was super impressed with all the products and feel they certainly are worth treating yourself to, this mothers day.
