PAJ GPS Finder – How do GPS Trackers Work?

This is a collaborative post

Are you considering whether to buy a GPS tracker, or wondering what they are? PAJ GPS A leading supplier of GPS products, recently got in touch to ask me to have a look and share the details of one of their GPS products.

PAJ GPS Tracker Review

As my son turned ten last year, we have slowly been introducing some ways he can become more independent. Nothing major, but some small steps around thinking for himself a bit more and considering what’s happening around him in terms of responsibility and safety. One of the reasons we have started thinking about this a lot more is, as he moved into the new school year, he was told by his teacher that moving into year 5 meant there was the option for the children to now walk to and from school on their own rather than be dropped off.

This new arrangement obviously needed to be signed off by a parent, so before doing so, we wanted him to feel ready. Because we live a good twenty minute walk from school, although he has now been doing this a couple of months, he walks a bit ahead with friends rather than totally on his own.

Now my son has got used to doing this and built up some confidence being out on his own he has been asking to further extend this independence. Therefore the offer of testing out this GPS tracker has come at a great time, as I’m going to give to my son to add some another layer of security and reassurance in being able to know where he is when needed.

Before doing so though, I need to understand what to do with it and how it works…

It comes boxed with a rubber case, charging cable and a booklet with a simple 5 step set up and QR code to take you to full instructions. There’s also a sim card within the devise that’s already in place when it arrives. The first thing you need to do is charge it, and then activate your finder on their website.

After you have activated, you are then ready to turn on and use the GPS finder. It’s now time to attach the devise to whatever it is you want to track. PAJ have a lot of different trackers that can be adapted for different uses, such as cars, pets and people. On the particular model we were sent (a PAJ GPS finder 4G) ours came with a cord and rubber casing to easily attach it to wherever needed.

To use the tracker you can then view the location of it through the app on either a smart phone or tablet. As well as popping this in my sons bag when he is out and about, I can also see this finder being useful to have in the summer when we go to festivals. Giving us peace of mind, when he goes a little further away to play, that even when he’s not in sight, we will still be able to track where he is.

For more information and to buy the products, they are all available to purchase on the PAJ GPS Tracker Website
