October Half Term In Suffolk 2019 – Things To Do And Cheap Days Out

It feels like the kids have only just gone back to school, but somehow it’s nearly already the holidays! Are you making plans trying to fill up your calendar? Well, if you’re searching for family events and fun days out in Suffolk, I’ve found lots for children to do from Sudbury to Ipswich! Whether it’s a stomp round a pumpkin patch, afternoon at the theatre, or a spooky day out. Plus I found a couple of cheeky child free treats if you can nab babysitters for a little bit of respite!

Halloween At Hollow Trees Farm, Semer, IP7 6HX

18th-27th October

Entry £7.50 (Children under 2 go free)

No better place to start than this, if you are after a full day out celebrating all things Halloween. We have been most years to this event and always blown away by how much there is going on and the effort that goes into transforming the whole farm. There’s more than enough to fill a whole day – With a haunted house (If past years are anything to go by it, it’s Scarier than you think, I jumped a lot!) A maze, tots tent, sledges, straw stacks and more. Plus the normal farm trail. There’s lots more details here Hollow Trees Farm Halloween Event 2019

Bressingham Steam Train, IP22 2AA

This sounds a fun evening out for older ones “The Fen Railway train will be running from 18:00 through the edge of the haunted woods, hoping it doesn’t need to stop at the old abandoned crossing or the wilderness swamp. See if you can avoid riding with one of the Galloper ghosts of years gone by” You can find out all about it here. Bressingham Steam Train Halloween 2019

Halloween Event At Kersey Mill – Ipswich, IP7 6DP

If their Christmas Santa workshops are anything to go by, (magical and well worth the money, each time we’ve gone) these will be great. By creating an event around slime and unicorns, I’d say they’ll have a pretty captive audience with most kids too! Here’s what they’ve said about the event “The children will first of all spend time with the ponies for a Halloween based experience and spooky pony rides. Then they will get the opportunity to make there very own spooky slime” Its a ticket only event though – You can find out more here. Kersey Mill Family Events
