From Swiftie Sparks to Statement Style: The Jewellery Journey of Razzle and Rose
I was gifted some jewellery by Razzle and Rose.
My Jewellery tastes have changed massively over the years and looking back over old pictures, I love how often the decade jumps out, just by the earrings or bangles I’m wearing. In my teens and twenties I loved silver, oping for delicate necklaces and big chunky bangles clunking together to give the boo hoo look. Or in the 90’s, although I never really suited the grunge clothes, I went all in on lace chokers and black cord necklaces strung with ying yang signs.

So, forward to today and despite the avalanche of retail options we are presented with, its refreshing to see that you can still spot the threads of popular culture coming out, when it comes to jewellery trends. Which brings me to why I’m talking about jewellery in the first place. There’s a small independent brand in Essex that I want to introduce to you, with the most gorgeous collection of pieces, that also started from the impact of a cultural phenomenon.

As Sarah the founder of Razzle and Rose says herself “It all started with a Swiftie, a friendship bracelet and a little neurodivergence.” After being one of the lucky Taylor Swift fans to secure a ticket to the Era’s tour, like so many she counted down the days keeping busy, making friendship bracelets to wear and swap.
This creative spark then continued to flicker long after the concert, as she found she had a talent for sourcing, designing and creating statement jewellery. With the popularity of the pieces spreading quickly, Razzle and Rose was born. It clearly helps that Sarah’s background and day job is in retail fashion too, so she’s got that magic eye when tracking down unique and on trend pieces, to sell alongside her handmade designs. She now runs a website stocked full of gold and silver collections. I personally love the variety of chains, perfect for stacking, along with necklaces adorned with stand out pendants bringing pops of colour to finish off a look. The recent popular lovestruck collection features chunky charms and sparkling pinks with the choice of adding personalised initial charms to some pieces.

There’s lots of fab earrings too, again with a pretty array of gemstone colours, contrasting with the gold and silver. I was gifted an elegant gold bracelet as well as these beautiful hoops, that make a fun change from my plain gold ones, (Although I may have to hide them as my 10 year old daughter with newly pierced ears has been eyeing them up already!)

You can shop all of the pieces over on the Razzle and Rose website alongside finding out about the latest drops on her Instagram page – Razzle and Rose.
