I love Easter, especially as for me there’s barely any prep and planning in comparison to Christmas, meaning I get the chance to really enjoy buying a few little treats for my children to go along with their Easter eggs. Now I don’t go overboard and we don’t spend a lot of money at Easter, but I do enjoy putting together a little Easter basket of treats for both of them to open on Easter Sunday. Here’s some ideas for what to buy for Easter this year and also as its finally getting a bit warmer, some garden toy ideas, for fun outside…
First of all here are a few ideas for some fun gifts I’ve found online to include in an Easter basket for children in 2023 – just click on the image to go through to the shop item page to buy…
Easter Basket UK Gift Ideas for Children in 2023
I’ll start with one that’s not necessarily traditional for Easter, but because I’ve always put them in my kids Easter basket, its now become a tradition for them and that’s bath bombs. There’s often some lovely Easter themed ones around and they are a nice treat, that they don’t grow out of too. I started with the the Lush ones, as they do a great limited edition Easter themed range that comes out each year and i’ve got them from there most years since. They have got some lovely ones for 2023 including The Golden Egg and the Hoppy Easter gift set.

For some extra silly fun at home, why not share some of these 75 spring puns and jokes with the kids.
Disney Mini Toys
Have you heard of a Tsum Tsum? These cute little stackable Disney toys look the perfect little surprise to pop in an Easter basket. They have been released to celebrate 100 years of Disney wonder and would be a great alternative to hide in an easter hunt. Garden Toys and Outdoor Gifts for Easter
After a long winter, it feels great to buy some toys to play in the garden at Easter, as hopefully it marks the start of being able to spend a lot more time outdoors.
Badminton Gifts
We gave my son a badminton set for his birthday and he loves it. It’s everything you need for a game all in the bag, it comes complete with four durable steel framed rackets, two nylon shuttles, net and net posts. Badminton is one of those sports loved by the different generations too, so it’s a nice one to play at Easter if you’ve got family round. You can buy this set and lots more badminton equipment over on BadmintonHQ its a great website full of everything you could need in the world of Badminton.

Wubble Balls
Another gift that’s not Easter themed, but has ended up becoming an Easter tradition for us is a Wubble Ball. They are so much fun! Now, my children rarely find games and activities they want to play together, but these are the exception. They are absolutely huge and my kids love bouncing around the garden with them, making up games and generally bashing each other with them, all over Easter weekend. Something to note though, they don’t last long and will inevitably be burst before the end of Easter weekend, but they provide a provide lot of fun and silliness while they last. They are currently selling them for £12 or two for £20 at Argos. If you click on the image below it will take you to the product page over on the Argos website.
Roller skates
Roller skating is another favourite in our house, (for both me and the kids) It makes a great spring activity to learn in the garden or a park, so perfect as an Easter gift or spring treat for children. The website Skates has a huge range of roller skates and also scooters and skateboards, so is perfect for gift shopping for kids and teen outdoor gifts.

Wicked Uncle is website full of fantastic inspiration for unusual gift ideas for children – they have lots of different outdoor activity ideas, including this fun hopper toy, as well as countless creative ideas to gift at Easter.

The Toomie hide and squeak eggs are such a classic toy for little ones – they were always a favourite in my house with my kids and a set I used to regularly pack in my bag to keep them entertained when we were out and about too. Toomie have now just released a clever twist on this – Jurassic World Spin & Hatch Dino Eggs. Its a great alternative Easter gift for little ones with an interest in dinosaurs, the Spin & Hatch Dino Eggs come complete in their own little incubator, which spins around. The magic happens once the lid is removed from the incubator – and the faster it spins, the quicker the dino eggs will hatch.
