Carat London -The British Brand Offering A More Sustainable and Affordable Jewellery choice

This is a sponsored paid for article although all opinions are my own

I love accessorising my outfits with jewellery especially, and I rarely go out without at least one piece on – I mostly wear statement bracelets and earrings, as I feel just that little bit of colour or sparkle they add, are such an easy way to give a special lift to any outfit.

I was therefore really intrigued when Carat London, a modern British fine jewellers got in touch to work together.

Carat London are part of a new wave of independent jewellery brands – they have a firm focus on not just the quality and style of their products, but also producing a more sustainable (which also means more affordable) way to enjoy jewellery, by creating pieces with the finest non mined gem alternatives.

As well as selling online, their pieces are now available to buy in over one hundred different shops including Selfridges. They also have quite a celebrity following, having been worn by Lady Gaga, Alesha Dixon, Emma Willis and many more.

Carat London sent me one of their tennis bracelets to review. A classic piece of jewellery that’s popularity seems to have never gone out of fashion – although for me personally I tend to go more for oversized pieces generally and often the bigger the better. So, with this being a shift to my normal style, I was surprised at how much I loved the look of this piece simply on its own. Usually, when wearing bracelets I tend to layer and often wear a few different types together to complete a look, but this bracelet is certainly one that deserves to be given the chance to shine and looks beautiful worn as a statement piece on its own.

Back to the review, lets start with how it arrives – as when it comes to luxury purchases, I think its good to know how it will be presented. The bracelet came in a beautiful white hinged box, with the sparkle of the gems certainly having the wow factor as soon as you flip it open for the first time.

Carat London have a large range of different tennis styles to choose from and mine is the Vianne Round Prong Tennis Bracelet in Sterling Silver. It also comes in gold and you can choose between the 16 and 18 inch lengths and the bracelet has a neat clasp to secure it when you put it on. Carat London also have a helpful guide on their website on How to Pick the Perfect Tennis Bracelet.

Having now worn the bracelet a few times, I absolutely love it. It adds an elegant, stylish, statement to an outfit – that although not cheap (this bracelet is £239) is well priced as an investment piece. The way it catches the light and sparkles and shines, it feels as if I’m wearing diamonds.

I thought when it arrived that this would be the type of accessory, I’d just wear on special occasions getting all glammed up, but I’ve already also enjoyed wearing it day to day, to elevate a casual outfit. I think its looked equally nice, dressing up a plain jumper dress and boots of a weekend, as well as adding a bit of bling to a jeans and blazer outfit going into the office.
