Aqua Sana Spa – Elveden Center Parcs Review
I was invited along to the Aqua Sana press event day to experience the spa prior to its reopening in September 2023
In recent years, spa days have boomed. Becoming one of the most popular ways to take time out from our busy modern lives, to unwind in a luxurious setting. No longer just the realm of ladies that lunch – to remain at the top of their game, contemporary spas now need to cater to all these differing crowds seeking their version of R&R while carefully maintaining the balance of relaxation and innovation.

One such Spa that has achieved just this, after a major transformation is Aqua Sana at Elveden Center Parcs. Having been closed for months for a multi million pound refurbishment, I was very excited to be invited along to their press event this week to see the newly improved forest spa for myself.
I have visited this spa before – we stayed at Center Parcs with family a couple of years ago and my husband and I managed to grab a couple of hours childfree there. We were impressed then with the beautiful central outdoor pool and range of rooms to enjoy, so I was interested to see how this has evolved.

What’s the Elveden Center Parcs spa like in 2023?
So lets start with the concept of the new design. It’s amazing and to me, the forest concept is what is making this spa now next level, in comparison to others I’ve visited. I think with spa design, because the common aim is to create a calm and luxurious space – this results in many spas then feeling a bit samey, awash in whites and neutral tones. This is certainly not the case at Aqua Sana Elveden.
The forest concept that runs throughout, with the 25 different nature inspired experiences, manages to retain the feeling of opulent relaxation, while also bringing atmosphere and fun into the well thought out zones. Mixing traditional spa element such as saunas and steam with cleverly designed digital innovation, meaning you have fully immersive, new experiences to try at every turn.

From The Forest View Relaxation Room where you can lie back on oversized beds watching the seasons change on giant screens, to the Lava Sauna in the volcanic area, an intense dark red space that’s designed to encapsulate the look and feel of the earths fiery core with red lights and glowing colas at its centre. It all feels a wonderful assault on the senses, helping you to leave worries and tension from the outside world at the door.
The focal point of the spa still remains the outdoor pool, with a gradual entrance from inside stepping down into the heated waters. It’s a peaceful space with surrounding greenery, bubbling water jets and the gentle sounds of birdsong overhead. Back inside, the different zones then all surround the central pool across two levels – with the idea being that the ground floor is more of an active area and the upstairs focussed on having more quiet relaxing spaces.

A pretty external addition is the hot springs garden, with hot tubs and oversized egg seating outside. All surrounded by the calming woodland above and beyond, I can imagine this outside space will be super popular in the summer months especially.

When does the refurbished spa open at Center Parcs Suffolk?
The reopening has been highly anticipated in Suffolk, with the spa being closed while undergoing this transformation for months. The spa is officially open from the 29th September with bookings being taken online for treatments, spa days and the twilight spa experience in the evenings. You can also find out lots more about this wonderful spa over on the Aqua Sana Spa website.
