When chatting with other mums, I find my connection often comes when we relate over our honest motherhood moments – hearing reviews of where they have been, a great product
recommendation or a snatched moment of feeling seen, when we confess to a struggle we are both experiencing.
These moments are what I try to recreate on this website – my honest snapshot of modern UK motherhood
I feel proud of this website and the space it’s become. What started as a personal blog initially – somewhere to still share and connect as a mum, after moving into writing other online content professionally, has grown and evolved into a connected online space for mums.
Since its launch, I’ve built up a strong regular readership, supported by an engaged social media following. This means I am now able to dedicate time creating a variety of content for women like me and families in Suffolk and further afield.
Why and How I became a UK Lifestyle Blogger
Once we started our family in 2011, while on maternity leave, I found myself fascinated by the growing voice of mums online. Whether it was feeling seen from reading all the British mum blogs appearing around that time, searching up the answers to my midnight worries on Netmums forums, to finding fun ideas and tips from the army of American Pinterest mom bloggers popping up all over – I loved it all.
So, when the job opportunity came up to start working for a parenting website writing their local web pages and managing their social media, I jumped at the chance. I then very quickly knew it was the right move for me and I’d found my second career.
After a few more years working for various parenting news websites in their editorial and social media teams, then as Content Editor for a travel accommodation platform, the desire to also have my own website to share all the different aspects of our life, grew and grew. So, after initially spending time building up a page on Instagram, a website felt the natural next step.
Forward to now and for work these days I wear a few different hats. I’m the Marketing Manager for a local marketing agency which is great, while also running this website that involves writing and sharing content about our lives and working with brands on different campaigns. Alongside this, I work as a freelance writer and social media manager.

I’ve found these “On the hanger and on me” reels so useful recently, when trying to gauge what’s going to suit me when shopping online, so I thought I’d make one too - these zebra print dresses are all from H&M in their Colchester shop last week (I’ll link all of them over in my stories too)
How mad that the second one was an extra small/small - thats taking oversized to a whole new level, it was like a tent😂 also watching this back I spend so much time pulling each one to see what it would look like with a belt on 🙈 I know it’s all about being floaty and loose now, but I just can’t let that 90’s staple of a giant belt go 😬
