Join the Welly Walk at Jimmy’s Farm and Support Young Patients!

Back to school can be a mix of emotions for many and with the long stretch of autumn days ahead, how about booking a family day out in Suffolk to look forward to with a special difference. Giving you the chance to get together with other local families to help your local community, while still having fun – the annual Welly Walk at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is back!

I make no secret of the fact as a family we love Jimmy’s Farm for a great family day out. There is so much there to do for the Children and for the grownups. With the addition of their brand new rare breed’s attraction, there really is so much to see and do. The Welly Walk however is a unique family day out, not only will you have a fantastic day out with your loved ones, but you’ll also be supporting The Children’s Appeal at Ipswich Hospital too.

The Children’s Appeal, is raising funds for the redevelopment of the Children’s Department at Ipswich Hospital. The money raised will help modernise the outdated department which has seen a huge increase in demand. The young patients and their families and careers can expect to see a calming environment with dedicated play spaces and specialist equipment to improve their experience. 

Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity are on a mission to make those extremely worrying times when families have to have overnight stays in hospitals with their little ones more bearable. The new build promises brand new quiet spaces for parents and facilities to help relieve the stresses and strains. New indoor and outdoor sensory and play spaces and equipment as well, which will make a huge difference in the lives of young patients and their families.

So, grab your wellies and let’s stomp our way through this amazing event!

On Sunday 24 September, families and friends are invited to embark on the interactive and picturesque 5km walk through the stunning Suffolk countryside surrounding Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park.

During the Welly Walk, you’ll have the chance to meet the adorable mascots Puddles and  Rosie. They’ll be there to greet you and make your day even more special. So, don’t forget to bring your best smiles and capture those precious moments with your little ones.

After completing the walk, you and your family will have free access to the wildlife park and rare breeds farm. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn about different animals and get up close and personal with some furry friends. Your kids will absolutely love it!

As if all of that wasn’t enough, Welly Walk participants will enjoy a 10% discount on all onsite catering outlets throughout the day. So, you can refuel and recharge with some tasty treats without breaking the bank.

For everyone’s hard work you will be rewarded with a certificate and pin badge. For the super fundraisers you will also receive an adorable Puddles soft toy.
